Five tower defence habits that keep costing you waves
Most tower defence losses aren't dramatic. They're the slow leak of a few enemies getting through each wave until your health bar is gone. After too many failed runs, I started noticing the same mistakes.
The biggest one is over-investing in a single strong tower instead of overlapping coverage. Two mid-tier towers that cover the same bend usually beat one expensive tower firing alone. Enemies bunch up at corners, and that's where you want your fire to stack.
Second, people upgrade too early. Save that gold for the wave where a specific enemy type shows up, then respond to it. Reacting beats guessing almost every time.
Finally, watch your maze length. A longer path means more time in range, and even a cheap slow tower near the start can turn a hard wave into an easy one.
